Dr. Shikha Anand Dr. Shikha Anand, Chief Medical Officer, Withings

Shikha Anand, MD MPH is Chief Medical Officer of Withings, one of the globally renowned pioneers in connected health. Withings provides personal health data and insights to millions of people worldwide through an award-winning ecosystem of health tracking devices and is the producer of the top-selling connected scale in the US.
 
Dr. Anand leads the health aspects of Withings strategy, including development of products, health metrics, go-to market and regulatory strategy, and solutions for medical professional audiences. Dr. Anand also leads the company’s consumer services division, which includes redesign of the Withings app and the addition of wellness and clinical services to the Withings ecosystem. As part of this work, it is her responsibility to ensure that Withings content is accessible and relevant to all audiences, regardless of social or health circumstances.
 
Dr. Anand has 20 years of experience developing innovations and systems that improve health. Her leadership experience includes public health, research, consumer health technology, and clinical informatics. A practicing physician, Dr. Anand is board-certified in Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine and Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics. She has previously led health innovation, equity, quality, and informatics initiatives at Well (Chief Medical Officer), Aetna/ CVS (Chief Medical Officer, Consumer Health Products), Walmart (National Medical Director), and a series of nonprofits and federally qualified health centers. She brings a unique perspective on how data and technology can be used to empower and improve the health of diverse populations.


Kristi Henderson Kristi Henderson, CEO MedExpress and Optum Everycare, Optum

A digital health leader and clinician with over 25 years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing the health care delivery system using digital health tools and technology.
 
She is the CEO for MedExpress and the Optum Virtual Care Medical Group and SVP of Optum Everycare for Optum Health, where she is creating a first-of-its-kind connected health ecosystem using industry-leading digital health tools and telehealth.
 
She most recently led clinical operations for Amazon Care, a healthcare initiative for Amazon employees and their families.
 
Before joining Amazon, she designed and launched a national solutions center for patient access, virtual care, and care coordination for Ascension Health.
She has a proven track record of delivering successful programs at scale that improve health and save money.
 
Henderson thrives with complex challenges and consistently delivers results that exceed expectations.
 
She is known for her ability to execute and sustain these models in advance of them becoming an industry standard as evidenced by her first launch of a telehealth program in 2003 which is recognized as one of only two of HRSA’s Centers of Excellence.
 
She is resourceful, collaborative and known for her creative solutions that engage patients and empower clinicians.
 
She has testified before multiple U.S. Senate committees and given numerous presentations across the country, including a TEDx, to advance telehealth policy and share innovative new models of care.
 
She is an honorary Dean at the University of Washington School of Nursing and a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the Emergency Nurses Association. She is an adjunct faculty member in Population Health at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas-Austin.
 
A few of her other leadership roles include service as executive board chair for the American Telemedicine Association; executive board member for the Association of American Medical Colleges Telehealth Committee, co-chair for Committee on Connected Health and National Quality Forum Telehealth Committee for the American Nurses Association.
 
Henderson received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she was recognized as the 2019 Distinguished Alumna from the School of Nursing. She maintains national certification as a family and acute care nurse practitioner.


Dr. Steven LeBoeuf Dr. Steven LeBoeuf, President & Co-founder, Valencell

Inventor of more than 100 granted patents in the field of wearable biomedical sensing, Dr. Steven LeBoeuf is one of the foundational innovators in wearable PPG sensors that are now embedded in millions of wearables on the market today.
 
Before founding Valencell in 2006, Dr. LeBoeuf pioneered innovations in solid state materials, multiwavelength optoelectronic devices, high-power electronics, nanostructured materials and devices, and biochemical sensor systems while serving as a Senior Scientist and Biosensor Project Lead for General Electric.
 
LeBoeuf has developed dozens of strategic partnerships with industry leading consumer technology brands, medical professionals, research institutions, medical device manufacturers, health and fitness companies, and start-ups. One of the most broadly quoted scientists and entrepreneurs in the field of wearable PPG sensing, LeBoeuf has served as a speaker in 50+ events around the world and is routinely interviewed by journalists, industry analysts, venture capitalists, and academic researchers.
 
As a founding pioneer in modern wearables, LeBoeuf has managed Valencell’s foundational patent portfolio, which has been licensed to dozens of companies around the world and implemented in 40+ wearable devices, ranging from earbuds, hearing aids, wristbands, legbands, smartwatches, virtual reality systems, headbands and more.
 
LeBoeuf holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he has been inducted into the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Hall of Fame, and BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics at Louisiana Tech University.

Pellegrini brings more than 21 years of experience across multiple sectors of the healthcare industry including consumers, providers, insurers, health technology and nonprofits. Before Fitbit, Adam created the Digital Health strategy for Walgreens Boots Alliance as the Vice President of Digital Health, responsible for revolutionizing how the global chain approached omni-channel digital healthcare, including advancing the company’s integration with wearables, launching telemedicine and advancing their core digital pharmacy platforms. As part of his work with Walgreens, his team led the largest retail mHealth integration of more than 1 million connected devices and launched the company’s first integration of wearables, including Fitbit devices, with its Balance Rewards program which rewards customers for making healthy choices.
 
Prior to WBA, Pellegrini led teams building the future of Digital Health including Microsoft HealthVault and HealthyCircles and was the first online strategy leader for the American Cancer Society. Adam started his career in the U.S. Army as an Operating Room Technician also working in aviation medicine, as an emergency room technician and leading occupational medicine initiatives for major health systems.


Karen Silgen Karen Silgen, General Manager and Vice President of Virtual Care, UnitedHealthcare, UnitedHealthcare

Karen Silgen is General Manager and Vice President of Virtual Care at UnitedHealthcare, where she focuses on developing the commercial strategy and virtual care programs for more than 25 million consumers and hundreds of thousands of large and small businesses. In her role, Karen helps simplify members' health care experience by helping people connect with a care provider via the click of a button while expanding access to quality care – no matter where individuals are. Prior to this role, Karen led the telehealth evolution for UnitedHealthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic, collaborating with care providers to implement best practices in telehealth billing, clinical scenarios, workflow management, technology procurement, digital security and more.
 
Karen has also served as a Vice President at Optum, where she developed programs that helped consumers with complex health conditions such as end-stage renal disease, sickle cell disease and infertility. Karen joined UnitedHealth Group in 2015 and has served in a variety of leadership roles, building upon a career that spans more than 20 years overseeing product development/management, provider networks and marketing.
 
Recognized for her leadership and forward thinking, Karen earned the UnitedHealth Group Innovation Leadership Shadow Award, which is given to select leaders who make innovation a priority while demonstrating the company’s values. Karen also attended UnitedHealth Group’s Executive Development Program at Stanford, in addition to garnering numerous other innovation awards.
 
Karen earned a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of St. Thomas and is a certified executive coach through the Hudson Institute and the International Coaching Federation. Karen currently serves as a board member for the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, mentors executives through Menttium, and advises students at her alma mater. She is based outside Minneapolis.

Gene was the CEO of Computer Motion, a leader in medical robotics, which he led through a successful IPO in 1997. At Symantec, Gene was Executive VP where he managed four divisions and helped triple sales. Gene was VP and general manager at Borland, where he drove sales of the C++ programming language to over one million copies. Gene earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley. Gene leads the People Power Band and is happily married with three wonderful children and two bad dogs.

Dr. Waqaas Al-Siddiq Dr. Waqaas Al-Siddiq, CEO, Biotricity

Waqaas, CEO and founder of Biotricity, is a serial entrepreneur, a former investment advisor, an expert in corporate strategy, and an innovative technologist. Academically, he has been distinguished for his various innovative designs in digital, analog, embedded, and micro-electro-mechanical products. Waqaas has held several high-level design positions at IBM, AMD, and Intel. Ijaz Arif Ijaz Arif, CEO and Chairman, VeeOne Health

Ijaz started his career with Cisco Systems before joining San Francisco-based managed infrastructure startup Loudcloud and then Totality at the height of the dot-com bubble in 2000. Ijaz then joined AT&T where among other things, he designed and built large scale data centers networks and architectures. He rejoined Totality in 2002 and ended up in Verizon when Totality was acquired by Verizon.
 
In 2016, he left to build something large and meaningful with Dr. Arshad Ali. Their mission was to make healthcare available and affordable for everyone by developing a comprehensive virtual healthcare platform for entire care continuum. They founded VeeOne Health (formerly VeeMed) in 2016 and today it a leading virtual healthcare platform for the US market, operating in 50+ hospitals, with 3000+ physicians in network.

Tim Balz Tim Balz, CEO, Kalogon, Inc.

Tim Balz is an award-winning engineer who is passionate about designing mobility technologies for people with disabilities. After working on high profile projects for SpaceX, Balz founded Kalogon in an effort to develop solutions that would radically transform the way the world sits and, most importantly, give wheelchair users their independence back. In 2014, Balz invented the first smart wheelchair, which won Intel's IOT Device of the Year Award and was endorsed by Stephen Hawking. He is a named inventor on an all terrain wheelchair patent and designed a wheelchair suspension system for one of the world's largest wheelchair companies, Permobil. When he's not inventing high tech solutions, Balz is giving underserved communities access to modern wheelchair technologies for free as part of his nonprofit, Freedom Chairs. 


Iris Berman Iris Berman, Vice President, Telehealth Services, Northwell Health

Iris has served as the VP, and leader of Telehealth Services, and has been instrumental in growing the program from design through inception and operation.  In this role, she has worked with a variety of disciplines to expand the reach of Northwell’s Telehealth Services  across the Organization and to the communities it serves.
 
Iris has a long history of service and quality delivery for the Health System. She began her career in direct patient care in the critical care arena, and has held a variety of positions over her tenure including nursing education, process improvement, management, and supervisory roles prior to joining the Clinical Transformation Team.  Iris was also a member of the first cohort of the High Potential Program and has served as a mentor for follow on classes.. 
 
Iris received her BSN from the University of Bridgeport and her Masters in Nursing Administration from Adelphi University where she was the recipient of the Gertrude Ujhely scholarship award. Throughout her career Iris has been involved in both community and professional organizations all focused on improving provision of care and education for at risk populations. She has been a public speaker for HIMSS, Philips, the American Heart Association as well as the Chair of the Long Island Nassau-Suffolk  AHA Chapter of Nursing Education, Past President of the Nassau County Association of Critical Care Nurses, and served as the Acute Care and TeleICU special interest  group  Chair for the American Telemedicine Association from May of 2017 to May of 2019. Most recently Iris serves as an Advisory Board member for CTel and has been involved in Telehealth advocacy in both  New York State and National/ Washington DC meetings.

Dr. Renee Dua Dr. Renee Dua, Chief Strategy Officer, HeyRenee

Dr. Dua is a visionary physician-entrepreneur who created HeyRenee based on her 15 years of experience as a practicing nephrologist, her service as Chief of Medicine at two of LA’s largest hospitals and her 7 years as Chief Medical Officer of Heal, during which time she oversaw the successful delivery of over 300,000 doctor house calls.  She went from literally going home-to-home delivering house calls to patients in need to building a team of 200+ medical teams who saw over 2,000 patients per week across the United States.  She won the CES Innovation Award and was instrumental in working with CMS to expand house calls to all seniors and in driving strategy for Heal’s clinical and patient facing products.  Driven by the belief that great healthcare is a human right, Dr. Dua has always gone beyond the call of duty to give the greatest care to the neediest patients. 
 
She created HeyRenee in June 2021 and quickly raised $3.8MM in seed funding to be the indispensable “best friend” that helps underserved, chronic disease patients follow their doctor’s care plan towards living happier, healthier lives.    
 
Renee completed her BS in Biochemistry at UC San Diego, her MD at Rosalind Franklin University, her residency in internal medicine at UCLA, and her fellowship in nephrology at USC.   Renee is an outspoken role model for women in STEM, frequently speaking at top universities, conferences and media outlets.  
 
Finally, she is the mother of three young children, who are her pride and joy.  In her rare free time, she cooks and takes long drives in her EV with her best friend and husband, Nick Desai.

Before Landmark, Dr. Stark worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Division Chief of the Emergency Department, as well as Director of the Life Lion Critical Care Air and Ground service for Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in PA. He also worked at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in TN as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine. In TN, Dr. Stark also worked as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. He was an Emergency Medicine Physician, Interim/Associate Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Tennessee Valley Healthcare System.


Outside of work, Dr. Stark stays active by being an assistant professor at Penn State College of Medicine, textbook author, traveler, and home chef.
