CONNECTIONS™ releases 2006 event summary, announces
upcoming events CONNECTIONS™ Europe and CONNECTIONS™ at CES
CONNECTIONS™: The
Digital Living Conference and Showcase today released the event
summary for its recent 2006 conference, available for download at
www.connectionsconference.com. The document summarizes points of
discussion and research findings from the May 2006 CONNECTIONS™
conference, highlighting current trends in advanced digital lifestyle
solutions for residential and mobile environments.
One key barometer for the market potential of digital technologies is
growth of broadband, and over 360 million households worldwide will have
broadband Internet service by 2010, according to Parks Associates, which
produces CONNECTIONS™ in partnership with the Consumer Electronics
Association (CEA).
“Broadband is the foundation of digital living,” said
Stuart Sikes,
president of Parks Associates. “As more households gain broadband access,
it will create a global market for these digital solutions, but companies
hoping to seize on this potential have to understand regional, economic,
and cultural differences. CONNECTIONS™ opens a high-level dialogue
where we examine problems and find solutions in the ever-expanding domain
of digital living technologies.”
The next event in the CONNECTIONS™ events series is
CONNECTIONS™ Europe: Strategies for
Digital Living Markets, to take place November 14-16, 2006, at the
Adlon Kempinski in Berlin, Germany. The event will bring together market
leaders from companies around the world to discuss the regional and global
opportunities and challenges for digital products and services. The
preliminary agenda for CONNECTIONS™ Europe is posted at
www.connectionseurope.com.
