CONNECTIONS™ Announces HomePlug® Powerline Alliance Press-Only Coffee Break Event on May 2

Parks Associates and CEA® today announced the HomePlug® Powerline Alliance will host a press-only coffee break during CONNECTIONS™ 2007 on Wednesday, May 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The HomePlug Alliance is working in a variety of methods to drive the worldwide acceptance of high-speed networking over power lines. The Alliance will address members of the media with a brief presentation including a technology forecast and current strategy, as well as offer major news on behalf of Alliance members. HomePlug will also offer private media interviews following the coffee-break.

What: The HomePlug Powerline Alliance will give press exclusive access to spokespeople from several member companies, including Arkados, Inc., Asoka, GigaFast, Intellon Corporation and Yitran. Additionally, Matthew Theall, president of the HomePlug Powerline Alliance and powerline initiative manager at Intel Corp., will highlight:

  • Review of recent milestones, including impressive membership growth and global technology adoption
  • Insight regarding Intel’s plans to integrate HomePlug technology into their mainstream platform in 2008
