Texas Instruments’ Executive Addresses the “Ultimate
Digital Lifestyle” at CONNECTIONS™
Parks Associates and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) today
announced Greg Jones,
general manager of Worldwide Strategic Marketing for the DSP Systems
division at Texas Instruments (TI) will provide the opening keynote
“The Digital Lifestyle: Under Construction”
on May 2, 2007, at
CONNECTIONS™: The Digital
Living Conference and Showcase.
CONNECTIONS™ will be
held May 1-3, 2007, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara,
Calif. Now in its eleventh year, CONNECTIONS: The Digital Living
Conference and Showcase, produced by Parks Associates in partnership with
the CEA, is the largest executive conference and showcase dedicated to
examining the markets, technologies, and consumer trends for residential
and mobile environments.
Jones will deliver his
keynote at 8:45 AM to start Day Two of the conference. He will discuss the
technologies that enable the new digital lifestyle, and how service
providers, technology developers and manufacturers can work together to
realize this vision of extended connectivity that gives consumers access
to all of their content from any location and at any time.
Parks Associates projects sales and shipments of consumer media server
platforms will reach 20 million units annually by the end of 2010. “The
digital lifestyle will offer new entertainment, communications, and
productivity features to consumers and help businesses build increased
value,” said Kurt Scherf, vice
president, principal analyst at Parks Associates. “We are excited to hear
