Steve Bush, Pure Networks
Co-founder & Chief Technology OfficerSteve Bush is a
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Pure Networks. A
seasoned entrepreneur and leader, Steve brings more than 12 years
of software architecture and design experience to Pure Networks.
Most recently, Steve served as Vice President of Engineering at
OpenDesign, an application infrastructure software company. Before
joining OpenDesign, Steve spent 10 years at Microsoft Corporation
in a variety of roles, including product manager, developer,
product planner, group program manager, architect, and development
manager. Before leaving Microsoft, Steve was the development
manager for MSN.com where he was responsible for scaling MSN.com
into the second most-visited portal after Yahoo. Steve was also
architect of Microsoft.com, building it from a single machine into
the fourth most-visited site on the Internet. He also drove
several scalability analyses for Microsoft, specializing in
large-scale, high-reliability systems. |

Dave Clark, Scientific-Atlanta
Director, Product Strategy & Management, Home Entertainment
ProductsDave Clark is Director, Product Strategy & Management,
for Home Entertainment Products at Scientific-Atlanta. He has
responsibility for managing and charting the future course of the
DVR platform which includes the Explorer®
8300 and 8300HD Home Entertainment Servers as well as the
Multi-Room™ DVR products. Dave joined Scientific Atlanta in
January, 2001.
Prior to coming to Scientific-Atlanta, Dave held various
engineering and marketing positions at Thomson Consumer
Electronics (RCA, GE, and ProScan brands). The last engineering
position he held was as project engineering coordinator for
DirecTV set-top units. Dave then moved into product management
where he managed various product lines including digital cameras,
camcorders, and 19”-36” televisions.
Prior to Thomson, Dave started his career working in the
defense industry for what is now Raytheon, working as a project
engineer on weapon and avionic systems for Navy aircraft.
Dave received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Purdue
University. |

John Dahl, THX
Product Line DirectorAs product line director for THX Ltd.,
John Dahl is charged with managing the THX Certified Home Theater
Program. Launched in 2004, it provides the designer and system
integrator communities with audio and visual specifications for
creating state-of-the-art home theater rooms. In addition, Dahl is
also tasked with operating the THX Certified Dealer Training
program, and developing strategies for the THX marketing and
engineering groups. Prior to joining THX in 1998, he was an
independent consultant to the consumer electronics industry,
working with clients such as Atlantic Technology, DWIN and
Soundstream. Previously, Dahl was senior product development
manager at NAD Electronics, where he managed the planning and
development of high-end consumer audio components. Dahl started
his consumer electronics career at the retail level, working as a
student selling HiFi components before becoming partners in an
audio/video store in Burlington, Vermont. Today, Dahl is a Top Ten
CEDIA Instructor, and holds training courses and seminars at CEA
events, as well as participates on panels at other consumer
electronics trade shows and conferences. |

Jordan Greenhall, DivXNetworks
CEOJordan Greenhall is the CEO of DivXNetworks
Inc., which he has grown from a small startup with a handful of
employees into a thriving, profitable company on the cutting edge
of video technology. DivX technology has been downloaded over 120
million times, powers a range of applications and offers a full
range of video solutions for the software, hardware, gaming and
video-on-demand markets. Prior to founding DivXNetworks, Mr.
Greenhall was Vice President at MP3.com, where he was responsible
for developing and implementing the company's business and content
development model. Mr. Greenhall graduated magna cum laude from
Harvard Law School in 1997, and summa cum laude from Texas A&M in
1994. |

David Grubb III, Motorola Broadband Communications Sector
Vice President, Advanced Network Technology IP Communication
GatewaysDavid is responsible for technology strategy and
business development for advanced IP services, including the
development of gateway architectures and working with application
partners to define new service models that leverage broadband IP
connectivity to the home.
Grubb joined General Instrument (GI) in 1982 as a development
engineer in research and development (R&D). He worked on a variety
of advanced technology programs in video scrambling, digital
audio, and fiber optics. In 1989 he joined GI’s transmission
network systems (TNS) business as a systems engineer and assumed
leadership responsibility in 1991 as director of engineering and,
later, vice president of engineering. In 1997 he was named vice
president, marketing for the TNS business before accepting his
current position in 1999.
Grubb holds four patents and has published numerous papers on
fiber optics and HFC network technology. He has
published/presented at numerous industry conferences, including
the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) (1989,
1990) and the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers (SCTE)
shows. Most recently, he served on the conference committee and
also moderated the pre-conference tutorials for the 2001 SCTE
Conference on Emerging Technologies.
Grubb earned his bachelor’s of science, electrical engineering
degree from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in 1982 and a
master’s of science, electrical engineering degree from Drexel
University in 1987. |

Inder Gopal, Lemur Networks
Chief Product OfficerInder Gopal has led the creation and
deployment of leading-edge networking technology for a variety of
influential technology companies. Currently, he serves as Chairman
and Chief Product Officer of Lemur Networks, an early stage
company he co-founded which is focused on simplifying home
networks. Previously Inder was Chairman and CEO of ReefEdge, a
leading manufacturer of Wireless LAN switches and gateways, where
he raised over $40M in venture financing and helped to create a
market leading portfolio of products with a solid revenue stream.
Prior to founding ReefEdge, Inder was AT&T's Chief Architect and
Corporate Vice President, with responsibility for creating the
road map for the convergence of AT&T's cable, wireless and
wire-line businesses to Internet based technologies. Before that,
he was CEO of Taconix, a spin-off from Prodigy, selling software
infrastructure to Internet service providers. Prior to that, he
was CTO of Prodigy, in charge of development and operations. At
Prodigy, Inder was responsible for the transformation of Prodigy
from a proprietary on-line service into a into a leading
nationwide Internet service provider. Previously, he served in a
variety of senior management positions at IBM, playing a key role
in IBM's entry into e-business. He also led the development of
IBM’s router and ATM products and was the creator of IBM’s NBBS
architecture.
Inder has 15 patents and more than 70 technical publications to
his credit. He is known as the inventor of the pioneering PARIS
high-speed network, which was the first Gigabit/second packet
switching system. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia
University. He has been an editor of several IEEE and ACM
journals, has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences and
universities, and has served on several NSF and DARPA grant review
panels. He is a Fellow of the IEEE with a PhD from Columbia
University, New York and a BA from Oxford University, England. |

Peter S. Henry,
National Semiconductor
VP Portable Power Systems
Peter Henry is vice president of National
Semiconductor’s Portable Power Systems product line. He
previously served as its director since its establishment in
2000. Henry is responsible for development, market strategy and
silicon for this strategic market segment.
Henry joined National Semiconductor in 1998
as director of design for the Power Management product line.
Prior to coming to National, he was vice president of marketing
for Suni Imaging Systems and held a variety of engineering,
marketing and product line management positions at Analog Devices,
Inc.
Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Physics from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed
the Stanford AEA Executive Institute in 1999. |

Scott Horn,

Scott Horn is director of marketing in the Mobile and
Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft Corp. His team is
responsible for product marketing for the Microsoft Windows

Horn previously managed teams of program managers and product
managers at Microsoft and worked on numerous desktop and
embedded tool products. He has also developed software
professionally on a number of embedded and computing platforms

Steve Iverson, Streamload
Co-founder, President & CEO
Steve Iverson developed his passion for technology and
innovation while growing up in a house full of electronics and
personal computers. Iverson's interest carried him to Pomona
College of California, where he was awarded two research grants to
study digital data compression, and eventually developed a new and
innovative technology for his undergraduate thesis while studying
adaptive data compression algorithms.
This new technology built the foundation for Streamload and has
since evolved into a service that allows users to send, receive,
and access their data files online, including entire video and
music collections. Under Iverson's leadership, Streamload, which
has 10 employees in its downtown San Diego headquarters, is
starting to make sense and cents to more and more people. The
company, which has been profitable since June of 2001, recently
closed its first round of institutional financing from San Diego's
Windward Ventures. Iverson was a 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
Of The Year finalist. |

Ted Laverty, DTS Europe
Director Business Development
As director of business development, DTS Europe, Ted Laverty
is responsible for broadcast and interactive technologies. Based
in the company’s research & development office, Northern
Ireland, he joined DTS in August 2001. Ted has an extensive
career history in the audio industry spanning over 15 years.
Prior to joining DTS he worked for high-quality audio codec
developer, Audio Processing Technology Ltd, acting as their
LA-based U.S. general manager. Prior to that he worked in the
music industry for over a decade founding a number of
successful technology and production businesses as well as
being a professional musician. Ted is a chartered engineer and
member of the IEE, the AES and is active in many technology
standards bodies around the globe. He holds an honours degree
in electrical and electronic engineering from Queens
University, Belfast. |

Vivek Pathela,

Senior Director, Product Management and MarketingMr. Pathela is
Senior Director of Product Management and Marketing for
Residential Products at NETGEAR. He brings extensive networking
and product marketing experience in the areas of corporate
enterprise, telecommunications and service providers. He
previously served in the position of Director of Product
Management and Marketing, in which he was responsible for
NETGEAR’s home and business product strategies, product line
management and marketing. Prior to joining NETGEAR in early 2000,
he served over a period of 15 years at Hewlett Packard in the
capacity of product management and marketing for the computer
systems business and last served as the Worldwide Marketing
Manager for the communications industry business unit. He holds a

Peter Percosan, Texas Instruments
Executive Director Broadband Strategy
Percosan has served as the executive director broadband strategy
for Texas Instruments Cable Broadband Communications Group since
the acquisition of Libit Signal Processing in 1999. In this role
he provides strategic direction that aligns Texas Instruments
technology strengths with the needs of the cable industry. He is
also responsible for identifying market trends and providing the
vision to the cable broadband group.
Prior to this position, Percosan was the vice president of
strategy and business development at Libit Signal Processing.
Percosan also served as vice president of strategic marketing, at
Lysis SA and vice president of engineering at Ariel Corporation.
Percosan has presented on the broadband topic at numerous

Greg Rodehau is the director PC technology
marketing at Dolby Laboratories. He is responsible for the
development and execution of Dolby’s global PC marketing
strategies and business development efforts.
Previously Greg was at Hewlett-Packard, where
he directed domestic and international marketing teams in its
printer and PC businesses. While at the H. J. Heinz Company, he
managed the consumer marketing efforts for the Ore-Ida and Weight
Watchers brands.

Rutton Ruttonsha, Philips Semiconductors

Rutton Ruttonsha was appointed Vice President and General
Manager of the Business Line Personal Entertainment Solutions
within Philips Semiconductors in January 2003.
Prior to taking over the responsibility for the Personal
Entertainment Solution business he held the position of Vice
President and General Manager of the Business Line Audio
Solutions. Rutton has held a number of senior management positions
at Philips Semiconductors between 1998 and 2001, including
Business Design Manager for the Consumer Business and Commercial
Manager for Discrete Semiconductors. Rutton joined Philips in 1983
and worked in various positions in Philips Components and Amperex.
Prior to joining Philips he worked at International Rectifier
in California, USA. Rutton holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical
Engineering (BSEE) from Walchand College of Engineering, India,
and the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from The
University of Southern California, USA.

Steve Shannon, Akimbo Systems
Founder & Executive Vice President of Marketing
Steve Shannon is a Silicon Valley veteran who in the late 1990s
was the creative force behind some of the area’s most well known
consumer technology brands. His most recent post was vice
president of marketing at SONICblue, where he was responsible for
the success of both the Rio MP3 player and ReplayTV product lines.
Steve joined SONICblue through the acquisition of ReplayTV. At
ReplayTV he helped launch the world’s first digital video
recorder, driving marketing strategies.
Before ReplayTV, Steve was director of Internet authoring at
Macromedia, where he launched Dreamweaver – Macromedia’s popular
Web-authoring tool and still the company’s most profitable product
line. Steve joined Macromedia when it purchased iband, the company
he co-founded and the original developer of Dreamweaver. Prior to
iband, Steve worked for Coopers & Lybrand and Paramount Pictures.

Ken Smith, Digiticians

Most recently, he was a member of the original management team at
eYak, an IP Telephony concern, where as Vice President of

employees and raise the company's valuation from $10M to $210M in
nine months. Previously Ken served as Director of e-Strategy at
Mainspring, a Cambridge-based Internet strategy services firm.
Before Mainspring Ken led USWeb's Boston-based strategy consulting
services practice and he was a co-founder of the Internet
advertising division of communications giant Arnold
Communications. Ken's first entrepreneurial venture was as a
co-founder and Vice President of Business Development for
Communicate, a Santa Monica-based retail store-front operation
that offered Internet access, software training and CD-ROM
development to consumers. Ken is a founding board member of the
Massachusetts Interactive Media Council and served for five years
as president of the International Interactive Communications
Society Boston chapter. He is a frequent speaker at major Internet
conferences throughout the US, in the UK and Germany and has been
a guest lecturer at Harvard University, Boston College and UCLA. |

Phil Whitworth, XM Satellite
Radio
Director, Product Marketing
Phil Whitworth has served as director of product marketing
for XM Satellite Radio since April 2003 and is responsible for
the strategic marketing direction of XM’s home audio presence.
During his tenure, Mr. Whitworth has helped XM secure a
leadership position in the home market serving as the project
leader for partnership deals with several key consumer
electronics hardware and software manufacturers, including
Audiovox, Crestron, Dell, Microsoft, and Polk Audio, among
others. Prior to joining XM, Mr. Whitworth worked for Hughes
Network Systems as director of program management where he was
responsible for the deployment of global satellite broadband
networks and played a key role in the development and market
launch of DirecTV set-top boxes for Sony, Mitsubishi, Toshiba,
Philips, and TiVo.
Mr. Whitworth, a graduate of the University of Delaware,
received a master's in program and project management and an MBA
