This webcast explores strategies for smart device makers to leverage cloud platforms and analytics services to develop data-driven strategies and deliver more value to their consumers.

Data is the key tool to success in the IoT. Consumer data can personalize participation in energy management programs, optimize device performance, proactively anticipate malfunctions, enhance device security, and more.

Parks Associates research shows incentives can be powerful tools to drive consumer participation and expand adoption – but successful incentives vary by segment and individual. For example, roughly 50% of consumers are willing to share data from smart devices for discounts on electricity, and 40% are willing to share data to update and improve their products. Additionally, 35%-45% of U.S. broadband households remain unwilling to share smart home data based on traditional incentives, including monitoring and improvements services.

In this webcast, speakers present the key product strategies to expand data-driven services, drive consumer participation, and enhance the connected consumer experience with smart home products. Key issues addressed during the webcast:

- Explore consumer attitudes and preferences on sharing smart home product data for various use cases and incentives
- Learn how connected products can be designed from the ground up to capitalize on data-driven services
- Discover how product managers can extract and analyze product usage data to develop new features and marketing insights
- Find out how product data can improve customer service by proactively identifying and troubleshooting installation issues and product malfunctions
