Among bilingual Spanish-language households with broadband internet, 89 percent subscribe to a pay-TV service, according to a new report from Parks Associates. That compares to 84 percent of all U.S. broadband households.
Further, 75 percent of bilingual Spanish-language households subscribe to at least one OTT video service. That numbers is just 66 percent among all broadband households.

NFL Game Pass is the most popular sports OTT video service in the U.S., according to Parks Associates, although at this point sports video services are still a relatively niche market.
Overall, just 16 percent of U.S. broadband households have a sports OTT video subscription, and NFL Game Pass is No. 1 with 6 percent of broadband households holding subscriptions, according to Parks Associates research.

The Mindy Project” moved from Fox to Hulu last fall, and it’s become one of the site’s most popular shows, according to Hulu executives, though the site does not release actual viewing numbers.
Reach/stats: Hulu has more than 9 million paying subscribers.
Fourteen percent of all broadband houses subscribe to the service, according to Parks Associates, but it has a high churn rate – about half of subscribers turned over last year.
Parks Associates says 60 percent of SVOD subscribers have canceled one or more service in the past year. Yet they appear to ping to other services instead of abandoning SVOD altogether, accounting for the healthy growth.
Here’s a look at how the three biggest SVOD sites compare to the three biggest premium cable networks.
While Netflix and Amazon have moved ahead in total subscribers, cable has tallied notable growth since 2010 even against that added competition.
According to a new study from Parks Associates, a market research and consulting firm, sports networks rank No. 4 and No. 5 behind the Big Three OTT services in terms of subscribers.
And three sports streaming services rank in the top 10 overall.
MLB.tv, a subscription service where viewers can watch out-of-market baseball games, ranks fourth. WWE Network, which offers a library of wrestling content as well as live pay-per-view events, comes in at fifth.
