Netflix Heads Digital Video Services List, But There Are Questions

You would probably guess right if you were asked “What are the top three digital video subscription services?” They are 1. Netflix 2. Amazon Video and 3. Hulu. No surprises there. But what about number four? According to Parks Associates, that goes to MLB.tv, baseball’s digital video offering. And the rest of the top ten list gets pretty interesting.

Study: Consumers Want More OTT Content, Service

With the launch of Showtime’s video service, it’s official: over the top is the place to be. It’s almost hard to keep track. Ooyala, Vindicia, and Parks Associates recently collaborated on a study that looks at how OTTs are differentiating themselves from each other and staying in the game. OTT Global Forecast

CES 2015 Announcements Signal Roku’s Future as a Software Company

In May, Parks Associates Senior Analyst Heather Way said the following: “By 2018, 70% of all TV households in the U.S. will have a smart TV, and this platform, combined with demand for TV Everywhere, is forever changing the concept of TV.”

We can argue the percentage points, but it is pretty evident that smart TVs are becoming the norm.
