Jason Paris to present new research at Integrated Systems Europe

New consumer research from Parks Associates shows that in the next 12 months, over 40% of U.K. broadband households likely to adopt new connected devices, including smart door locks, sensors, and security cameras, will purchase these products as part of a home security or control system that can be monitored or controlled by a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The firm’s Connected Consumer in Europe project also found that ownership of home control systems is 10% of broadband households in France and Spain, 8% in Germany, and 11% in the U.K.

The international market research firm is supporting Integrated Systems Europe, 9-12 February in Amsterdam, and will present insights into the growth of the home systems markets in Europe and worldwide during the session “Competing with Mass-Market Smart Home Systems”in the Residential Theatre on 12 February. Jason Paris, Director, Business Development, Parks Associates, will address new competition for the custom installer channel, new opportunities for smart home controls to integrate with other home systems, and new opportunities to help grow the home systems market.

Adoption of Home Control Systems

“Consumer intention to purchase devices and integrate them into home systems continues to be a growing trend across Western Europe,” Paris said. “Mass-market smart home products and services are now available through numerous channels, including security dealers, telecoms, and retail stores, and both mass-market and custom-installed systems are seeing substantial growth as the combined marketing efforts of all channels are improving awareness.”

With over 1,000 exhibitors and 60,000 attendees expected at the four-day 2016 show, ISE will provide a comprehensive showcase of cutting-edge AV technology for professionals working in the commercial and residential installation and integration marketplace.
