Parks Associates addresses opportunities in energy, security, remote controls, and connected devices at NTEC: The

Research from Parks Associates estimates 2012 U.S. revenues for IP-connected home service bundles, including control, automation, and security monitoring services, will be approximately $500 million. Tom Kerber, Director, Research, Home Controls & Energy, Parks Associates, will address the growing market for connected technologies at The "Connected" Home, hosted by NTEC on Wednesday, August 15, in Frisco, Texas.

Additional Parks Associates research finds:

  • Over 70% of all U.S. households will have broadband by the end of 2012.
  • The U.S. market for residential energy management and home security technologies, deployed by utilities, service providers, or retailers, will exceed 60% of all households by 2022.
