Going Steady in Market Position Yet Usage on Chromecast is Dropping

Despite the good figures, according to the data gathered by Parks Associates, there seems to be a drop of users of Chromecast, even though Google Chromecast has remained their marketing share all this time. The demand for video online streaming has increased every day and the accessibility through TV via the internet has expanded, more makers of devices capable of such things are emerging one after another, and jump into this industry. It is best that every device introduced into the market has improved the quality and awareness of the popularity of this invention, the data recorded from the aforementioned market researcher reveals a different story – which some devices may only be staying steady while others have started to sink.

The ownership over streaming media players, such as Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and Chromecast have increased almost at twenty percent in the US broadband, which was recorded as 14 percent in the year 2012. Chromecast usage remains six percent in most US homes, the monthly online watching for video has dropped to 73 percent, 5 percent down since its 3rd quarter, based on the 10,000 broadband household usage survey. The monthly usage in viewing web pages has also dropped to 57 percent, 19 percent down from the previous data.

Though the demand for online streaming video devices remain in demand, the interest over Chromecast have started to decline, according to the director of consumer analytics of Parks Associates, which was stated in a release. Google refused to comment on such matters.
