60-80% of U.S. broadband home owners willing to pay for energy-saving products

Parks Associates announced today 60-80% of U.S. broadband home owners are willing to pay for energy-saving products such as smart thermostats, smart water-tank controllers, and attic insulation; however, the perceived value varies widely. Consumers will pay $109 for a smart water-tank controller and $77 for a smart thermostat that save them 20% on their energy bills, compared to $256 for attic insulation for the same savings.

Consumers to increase holiday CE spending by over 33% compared to 2011, with tablets overtaking laptops as hottest item

New Consumer Analytics research from Parks Associates indicates U.S. consumers plan to spend over 33% more on CE devices this holiday season compared to last year, with the total amount increasing from $793 per household in 2011 to $1,058 in 2012. Siri Not Being Used by iPhone Owners

A new Study from Parks Associates tries to answer the question: "Hey Siri, how popular are you?" According to the study, Parks Associates' finds that most poeple don't event use Siri's full capabilities. Most people use Siri for basic tasks like making phone calls or sending a text.

In 2007, the number of online gamers worldwide was projected at 217 million, according to Comscore. Most recently, this online-gaming sector aimed at adults “has proven remarkably recession-proof,” according to a report offered by international research firm Parks Associates. The study also predicted the annual market for “premium” casual games will exceed $1 billion by 2013.
